Kailua-Kona - Sightseeing

After taking a walk through historic Kailua-Kona and buying requisite souvenirs, head north from town to Honokohau Harbor and join a fishing charter, or simply wander through and enjoy the sights and smells of the sea. If you find yourself peering into the harbor depths, pondering life and oil slicks, take a cruise on a submarine from the pier in down-town Kailua-Kona. Watch the water grow darker as you descend to 120 feet. Optionally, if this sort of thing makes you claustrophobic, stick to the surface and snorkel one of the small beaches in the area.
